Target 2018: Will someone break Two-hour Marathon this year?

It’s tough & challenging, 42.195 km in 2 hours. But if we go back to 2005, thinking about 2 hours 5 mins was crime. But it happened. Not that, almost 10 marathoners achieved this feat till now.

2 hour 3 minutes is the best time right now – official record. Kipchoge with the help of Nike and their new shoes –  Vaporfly Elite – tried to break the barrier of 2 hour Marathon in June 2017 but went in vain. Despite the mammoth effort of Eliud Kipchoge, the world’s best marathon runner, the timing remain above 2 hour – 2:00:25.

Kipchoge’s performance was not recognized by the International Association of Athletics Federations hence he is not the fastest Marathoner.

The current world record time for men over the distance is 2 hours 2 minutes and 57 seconds, set in the Berlin Marathon by Dennis Kimetto of Kenya in 2014.

There are so many Marathoners aiming to beat this barrier of  Two-hour marathon this year, let’s hope for the best.

Here are the Marathoner who delivered less than 2 hour 4 minute –
